Better Protecting Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley, Kitchener’s “Emerald Oasis,” is a beautiful 200 acre property located between the Grand River and Fairway Road. It is home to provincially rare flora and fauna, thousands of deciduous and coniferous trees, more than 110 species of nesting birds, as well as a safe haven for migratory birds. It is a Provincially Significant Wetland that filters water before it enters the Grand River.
Issue: A proposed River Road extension and bridge across Hwy 8 that would bisect the property.
